There has been a playgroup in Greatworth for many years and since 1990 it has enjoyed the use of the school hall. This has given the playgroup the advantage of the support of the Reception Class teacher of Greatworth School, which in turn has helped our children to get a really good foundation for their first year in full time education. Their familiarity with the building and many of the faces on their first day at school is invaluable.

Greatworth Playgroup operates five times a week. Sessions on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday start at 1.00pm and finish at 3.30pm. The Tuesday and Thursday sessions start at 8.45am and finish at 11.15am.

Our playgroup is registered to provide care for 24 children between the ages of 2 and 5 years old. The staff: child ratio is 1:4 for under 3 year olds and 1:8 for over 3 year olds.
